Privacy Policy

Who we are

Citare is operated by Ssimplifi, a business based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean Ssimplifi acting as the data controller for the Citare platform.

What we collect

Account data: name, email address, password hash (via Supabase auth). Agency and client ownership metadata.

Business data you provide: website URL, business description, products, services, competitor lists, and any data connected via Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Shopify, or manual entry.

Usage data: pages you visit within the Citare dashboard, features you use, timestamps. Used to improve the product and support your account.

Billing data: wallet balance, transaction history, Razorpay payment identifiers. We do not store card numbers or bank credentials — those live only with Razorpay.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell customer data.

We do not train AI models on customer data. When Citare queries ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, or Google AI on your behalf, the queries are brand-agnostic and category-based — they do not expose your account-specific information.

We do not share data with third parties except the infrastructure providers listed below, which process data strictly to run Citare.

Sub-processors

Supabase (authentication + Postgres database), hosted in the EU.

Vercel (application hosting).

Upstash (Redis + QStash queueing).

Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini), SerpAPI (AI model and search providers we send anonymized category queries to).

Razorpay (payments, India).

Resend (transactional email).

Your rights

You can export all your business and monitoring data from the dashboard.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing ravi@citare.ai. We delete within 7 business days.

If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including access, rectification, and portability. Email us to exercise them.

Data retention

While your account is active, we retain your data indefinitely.

On account deletion, we delete your data within 7 business days, except for transaction records that we retain for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.

Anonymized aggregate data (e.g., platform query response times) may be retained indefinitely.

Cookies

Citare uses first-party cookies strictly to maintain your authenticated session and remember your active client. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

We will email all active account holders at least 14 days before any material change to this policy. The effective date of the current version is listed at the bottom of this page.
