Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-13.

Subscription model

Citare is a subscription service. When you sign up for a paid plan, you authorize Citare to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose) until you cancel.

Cancel any time

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings inside the product, or by emailing billing@citare.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access to the plan you paid for through the period's last day. We do not auto-charge after a cancellation request.

No refunds for unused time

Once a billing period has started, we don't issue partial refunds for the remaining unused portion of that period, whether the plan is monthly or annual. You retain access through the period you've paid for, then the subscription ends.

Refunds for billing errors

If you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or a charge resulting from a verified Citare-side payment-processing issue — email billing@citare.aiwithin 30 days of the charge and we'll investigate and refund the amount in full.

Statutory rights

Where local consumer-protection law requires it (for example, the 14-day right of withdrawal for first-time consumer purchases in the European Union), those statutory rights apply in addition to this policy. Email billing@citare.ai if you believe a statutory right applies to your purchase.

Free trials & free plans

Free trials and the free plan are not charged, so refunds don't apply. If a free trial converts to a paid plan, the cancel-anytime and no-partial-refund rules above apply from the first paid charge.

How charges appear

Payments outside India are processed by Paddle.com (our merchant of record); payments inside India are processed by Razorpay. Your bank statement will reflect the relevant processor.
