What this tool checks

We fetch your /robots.txt file and run it against the canonical list of AI crawlers — the same list Citare maintains for our AI Crawler Tracking tool. For each bot we report whether it’s allowed, blocked, or implicit (no rule found — defaults to allowed per spec), plus the exact User-agent group and Allow/Disallow rule that decided the verdict.

When we find blocks, Gemini Flash drafts paste-ready fix lines and a short explanation of why each blocked bot matters. You copy. You paste. Done.

Why blocking matters for AI visibility

AI platforms ground answers from sites their crawlers can read. Block GPTBot and your content stops feeding ChatGPT’s training corpus. Block OAI-SearchBot and your site disappears from ChatGPT’s live web search. Block PerplexityBot and you’re absent from Perplexity’s index entirely.

Many sites block these bots accidentally — inherited from outdated robots.txt templates or legacy SEO advice that grouped “AI scrapers” with spammers. This tool finds those silent blocks fast.
